When I started this blog, I was very intentional about where I wanted to go with it. I wanted to use it as a tool to motivate busy women on the go (and generally everyone) using effective fitness strategies. I want to be your favorite fitness strategist, giving you tips for workouts that you can easily incorporate into your day that will burn fat, tone your body, and keep you energetic I want you to be your best self, so you can be your best self for others. I want to see and meet you, and workout with you (continue reading if you want to know how THIS goal of mine is coming true). I want your fitness goals to be your reality, not just something you talk about.

I believe that this blog does that. I also believe that because I'm still so new out here in the blogosphere, that I have nowhere to go but up. My ceiling doesn't exist, and yours doesn't, either!

I want you to know that there is nothing that you can't do. There are only excuses that are given. I think one of the worst phrases that we all continue to use is "I don't have the time." This is an excuse. This is a phrase that we've come up with to give us more time to do things that don't really add value to our lives. This is the fastest way to stray away from your goals.

Answer these questions:

  1. How much TV do you watch in a given week?
  2. How often and how long do you visit friends and family, knowing that you have work or a workout to complete?
  3. How long do you spend grocery or retail shopping?
  4. If you take naps, how long are your naps?

These are just a few questions, and I have a lot more (we didn't even get into whether or not you have children and how you spend your time in that area).

I know you are tired. Exhausted, even. You have so many things to do on a very regular basis, and there seems to not be enough hours in the day. That may be your reality of the situation, But I want you to start changing your mindset when it comes to your health. At work all day; EXCUSE. Work 16 hours a day; EXCUSE. I have heard them all. You will make time for what's important to you. You have to WILL what you WANT, and you sure will not even touch your goals if you don't give yourself a chance. Your health should be needs to be your first priority. Mental, physical, spiritual, emotional; they all need to be attended to. When you're stressed out to the max, it will be harder to get yourself in a workout mindset, when you're not eating properly, you won't have the energy to put forth your best effort during your workout, and when you don't have faith that God will give you exactly what you need to overcome exhaustion, weariness, and doubt so that you can achieve your goals, you'll be stuck in the same place today that you were in before now.

So make your goals a reality. Never doubt yourself. Never discredit yourself and how much time, energy, and capability you actually have. Do what you know needs to be done. Change your mindset, change your life! You just need to focus in the right direction. You were made for greatness. Focus on a BETTER YOU. The BEST you, in fact. She's in there. Go find her.

This Saturday in Virginia, my goal becomes my reality *jumping for joy*!! I'm so excited that I will be holding my first Pop-Up workout! This is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I am going to be in a different city (in hopefully a different state) every month this year (let's pray on this guys! I'm looking for sponsors!). These are what I essentially call "Get It In" workouts (I'm still working on the name). I will pop up, for about an hour and a half, in the designated city at a designated place, we'll workout, and then I'm out! I hope that you will be able to join me.
